The Linkedin Fallacy Circus.

Why I left Linkedin.

It is very poorly designed.

My inbox is full of spam.

Now my feed is filled with cringy "threads" and long form.

It's a poacher's paradise.

The inherent ux is for ladder climbers / puddle jumpers.

I think the next version of Linkedin or similar should be ...

A simple blockchain based network.

Mobile first UI: With just a search field and feed.

Feed : Material news (eg. connects in the news, job/title changes)

Search: Visual on how I'm connected to someone / company.

Smart connect suggestions based on either:

1). Real World Proximity: Office / meetings / confs. via near field.

2). Digital: Number of emails / virtual calls via a browser plugin.

If we're connected, your message hits my primary email.

That is it. Pure utility and not an unnecessary time sink.

Till something close to the above exists ...

I / my companies will be off Linkedin.

Sorry Reid.
