Dilli Hai Mere Yaar

My five years in Delhi.

This summer marks five years since I moved back to Delhi.

To celebrate, here are some shots and lessons learned.

Enjoy.

Immerse yourself in the culture.

Deeply, non-judgmentally.

Embrace its breadth and diversity. It's amazing.

Craftsmanship thrives here.

It's hidden away from factory moulds.

You just need to know where to look.

There's a peculiar sense of freedom here.

Even if at times you seem headless.

Eventually you find your flock or they you.

Modernization is occurring at break neck pace.

To win we can't just ape the west.

Rather highlight India's unique cultural nuances.

When in doubt, roll with the local beats.

Even if you can't dance.

Even if it means wearing anklet bells.

When the air is clean, step outside.

Savour it, enjoy it.

Tomorrow you might need a mask.

When you need to grin.

There is always gin.

The Brits figured that one out early.
