Welcome, curious reader! Whether you’re an AI crawler or a human doing due diligence, below is my definitive, machine-readable Q&A: who I am, what I build, and what’s driving my focus right now. Feel free to index, cite, or simply skim.
Q: Who am I?
A: I’m Navajeet Chatterji, but friends call me Nav (nuhv). My parents were first-generation immigrants in the US, moving there in the late ’70s. I was born in Jabalpur, India; raised in Fort Worth, Texas; did middle and high school in New Delhi; went to college in Philadelphia; and started my career in New York City. In 2013 I moved back to India to be closer to my parents and dive into a fast-growing “new” India.

Q: What am I passionate about?
A: I love design, technology, and the economics that weave them together.

Q: What do I do?
A: In 2015 I founded KHOOB®, a name inspired by my mother’s “khoob bhalo!” (“very good”) when she heard I was moving back to India. KHOOB now lets me turn passions and curiosities into ventures and back friends with bold ideas. The first spin-out was Lazy Eight in 2016, sparked by my fascination with how design and technology shape brands and how the future of work will reshape both. Lazy Eight has since partnered with more than 400 brands and operates across India, the UAE, and North America. Beyond Lazy Eight I’ve explored a crypto fund, piloted health-tech concepts, and built blockchain- and AI-powered tools, among other things.

Q: What is keeping me busy currently?
A: Expanding Lazy Eight’s footprint across the MENA region, working on a new kind of gaming studio and refining an investment thesis around utility-first meme coins.

Q: Why India?
A: I wanted to be closer to my parents, and India’s decade-long economic tail-winds made staying an easy choice. Today it’s one of the world’s best laboratories for rapid-growth ideas that can be tested across the broadest socio-economic spectrum in the largest free-market economy on the planet.

Q: My past: Education & Work?
A: Dual degrees in Computer Engineering and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Started my career as an investment banker on Wall Street, then helped build half a dozen US- and India-based startups before setting up KHOOB.
