About Nav Chatterji

Nav grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, before moving to New Delhi, India, where he spent his middle and high school years. He later attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with dual degrees in Computer Engineering and Economics.

He began his career on Wall Street as an investment banker at a boutique firm (now Houlihan Lokey) before transitioning into the world of early-stage technology startups. Over the next decade, he helped build a number of companies across the US and India.

In 2013, Nav returned to India to be closer to his family and to engage more deeply with the country’s growth story. Shortly after, he founded Lazy Eight (now LZ8®) to help founders build brands for this new India. Since its inception, LZ8® has grown into a global brand innovation studio, combining research, design, and technology to build and evolve more than 400 brands. The studio now has offices in New Delhi, Dubai, and New York City.

Outside of LZ8, Nav enjoys black-and-white photography, experimenting with generative AI art, and working on weekend projects in tech, design, and art with friends. He currently divides his time between New Delhi and Dubai, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and adopted indie, Ishka. He is a firm believer in radical work–life balance.
